We are a registered charitable organisation, member of PACANZ and have been promoting dance activities, particularly dance competitions, in Palmerston North since 1972.
Our objectives are:
- to encourage, foster and promote the practice and appreciation of all dance forms
- to encourage, foster and promote all cultural and educational activities of all dance forms
- to inculcate in the individual a sense of responsibility and of sportsmanship to his fellow members and associates.
PNDA established the Monica Skinner Memorial Scholarship in 2010. The scholarship, funds permitting, is awarded yearly to a local dancer embarking on tertiary dance studies.

PNDA along with Manawatu Performing Arts will host the PACANZ National Young Performer Awards at the Regent on Broadway.
